I've stuck to digital cameras for the majority of my photography career. I started with a Nikon crop sensor DSLR and then moved to a full frame Canon. I remember thinking that I needed a full frame in order for my shots to resemble those of the photographers I admired. While, yes having the right gear helps— it really isn't everything.
It made me realize just how important it is to wait for the right moment. Don't get me wrong, for the type of work I'm doing digital is totally the way to go, and of course I'm going to continue to take test shots for work. I love my SLR, but I've decided to challenge myself to pick up my film camera more. I think it'll be a good way to remind myself to be more mindful while I photograph.
