El Grito de Independencia de México in San Francisco
The annual El Grito celebration took place Sunday in San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza on Sunday, with music, food, dancing, Lucha Libre wrestling and more. A collaboration between the city and the Consulate General of Mexico in San Francisco, El Grito celebrates Mexico’s independence from Spain. The official civic ceremony included the mayor of San Francisco, London Breed, and the Consul General of Mexico Ana Luisa Vallejo Barba.
